Tara Bramwell is a portrait, artist, specialising in capturing timeless images of the family (from children, siblings to grandparents), pets (from dogs to cats, rabbits or guinea pigs, horses/ ponies), indeed any animal that has a special place in your heart.

More recently, she has been creating beautiful watercolours of people’s homes and even been commissioned to create a tattoo now inscribed on someone’s arm!

Tara Bramwell lives in West London with her family and and their beloved cocker-poo.

Inspired by her father’s doodling and cartoon pencil drawings portraying characters of his fellow army officers/soldiers and their horses in The Household Calvary. This is when Tara’s passion for drawing and painting emerged.

Tara’s love for art returned when she gifted her own parents and parents in law, a pencil portrait of her first child – their granddaughter, aged two. From the small gift of love, she was then commissioned by family and friends to draw their own grandchildren, siblings, and much loved family pets.

Originally Tara’s portraits were in pencil, but after being approached by an International estate agent she was commissioned to draw clients homes, as gifts upon the sale of their property.

Tara felt using pencil as a medium was to dark and lost the character and unique concept of a treasured home, she felt obliged to try another medium and self taught herself to work with watercolour, in her view a far more sympathetic medium that enhanced the portrait and once mounted and framed enriched the character of their home.

Tara continues to work with pencil and watercolour, but would describe her use in watercolour as abundant, bold and rich which is influenced from her studies when working with oils as a young adult.

Tara thoroughly enjoys the variety and challenges of working with various mediums and subject matters.

Tara Bramwell’s art stretches the imagination and creativity inspiring your own personal stories and captures that unique moment in time that you will always treasure!
